Relaxation techniques

Self employment is a wonderful thing, for many individuals. Because they no longer work for someone else, they tend to experience less stress than they did in their previous work environment.

Unfortunately, no job will ever be 100% stress free. Even if a business is doing well there is always the threat of ‘bumps in the road’ that could easily cause a stressful situation. This is why it is important to learn a few good relaxation techniques.

These techniques don’t have to be complicated. There is no need to invest a great deal of money into costly supplies and/or newfangled equipment. Many relaxation techniques can be preformed for little or better yet… nothing.

There are many breathing techniques that you can learn that cost nothing. Visit your local library or do an online search for information, in regard to self-taught breathing techniques or even some type of meditation.

(One of the great things about working for yourself is the fact that you can usually take a short break, whenever needed. When you feel yourself becoming a bit stressed, take a few minutes to relax. You’ll be surprised at how much better you’ll feel.)

Buy a stress ball. Believe it or not, these little ‘squeezy’ balls work wonders when you are feeling tense. They are very inexpensive and come in a rainbow of colors that will match all of your moods.
